I made this one of a kind necklace with a Owyhee Jasper cabochon set in sterling silver and decorated with a designed based on my MUYU collection.
This stone makes me think of the coast of the Pacific Northwest, a view to the ocean from the coastal road. These one of a kind pieces were made while I was getting lost in them, thinking about the landscapes I've seen. Does it remind you of a place you hold close to your heart?
It was a delight to make and I'm confident it will be as special for whoever gets to take it home.
The Owyhee Jasper is mined in the Owyhee mountains in Eastern Oregon. I got mine about 10 years ago, and haven't found anything quite like it (with so much detail), at least online. I'm lucky to have a couple of these to make a truly special piece with them.
